HOLY GHOST Is The Spirit Of CHRIST

In the old testament, RUACH ELOHIM means the breath of GOD or the Spirit of GOD. In Genesis 41:38, Pharaoh said of Moses, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Ruach Elohim?” In the new testament in the book of Acts 2:4, we read that the HOLY SPIRIT comes upon the disciples, and they were all filled with the HOLY GHOST and began to speak with other tongues, as THE SPIRIT gave them utterance. In John 14:26, CHRIST says that the Comforter, which is the HOLY GHOST, whom the Father will send in HIS name, shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. We find out that the HOLY GHOST comes in the name of JESUS THE CHRIST.

In the book of John 10:30, JESUS CHRIST himself says, “I and my Father are one.” As it is written in the book of Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and HIS name shall be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Simply put, the Father and the Son have the same name.

Some people may be confused about which way to baptize, but we can look at how the disciples baptized after CHRIST gave that commandment in Matthew 28:19. Looking at Acts 2:38-41, we find Apostle Peter baptizing people in CHRIST’s Name. These were the first baptisms after Matthew 28:19. Later we find Evangelist Philip baptizing people in CHRIST’s Name in the book of Acts 8:12-17. Many years later, Apostle Paul – baptized people who had been baptized by John the Baptist- this time in the Name of JESUS CHRIST. It is amazing to find that every baptism that happened after CHRIST gave commandment in Matthew occurred in CHRIST’s holy Name. This is the reason why we baptize in CHRIST’ Name and encourage everyone to do the same.

Participating in the baptism ceremony in the name of CHRIST signifies our participation in the death and burial of Christ. As stated in Romans 6:3-4, “Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into ”YESU” were baptized into HIS death?
