Baptism holds significant importance for those seeking to enter the Kingdom of God, as outlined in the book of John 3:3-5. In this passage, CHRIST explains to Nicodemus that in order to enter the Kingdom of God, one must be born again, not of flesh but of water and the Spirit.

What Does Baptism Symbolize? Baptism Is A Symbol….

Through baptism, we are symbolically buried with Christ and raised to new life with HIM (Romans 6:4). This act of dying to our old self and being born again in CHRIST is a powerful symbol of the trans-formative power of God’s grace.

Declaration

Furthermore, baptism is a public declaration of one’s faith in CHRIST. It is a proclamation to the world that we have turned away from our old life and embraced a new life in CHRIST. It serves as a testimony to others of the work that GOD is doing in our lives and the hope that we have in HIM.

It’s vitally important to note, however, that baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation that occurs when we surrender our lives to CHRIST. True salvation comes through faith in Jesus and a commitment to living a life that is pleasing to ELOHIM.

John 3:3-5

CHRIST answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of YHWH.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” YESHUA answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of ELOHIM.

In What Name Should You Be Baptized?

Just before YESU Ascend to heaven following his death, burial, and resurrection—CHRIST made a statement in Matthew 28:18-20

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the FATHER ( Yahōwā) and of the SON ( CHRIST ) and of the HOLY SPIRIT ( RUACH ELOHIM ), teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Acts 2:38:

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of YESU for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT.

How To Baptize According To Scripture

In the Gospel of John 5:43, YESHUA declares that he came in HIS FATHER’s name and that HE and THE FATHER are ONE. This means that CHRIST and THE FATHER are one and that YESHUA represents HEAVENLY FATHER’s authority. The FATHER and the SON being one is also echoed in the Old Testament book of Isaiah 9, which prophesies about the coming of a child who would be called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting FATHER, Prince of Peace.”

What Do You Say When You Baptize Someone In Water?

Some people may be confused about how to baptize, but we can look to the actions of the early disciples for guidance. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus commands his disciples to baptize in the name of the Father- YHWH(YESHUA), Son – JESUS(YESHUA), and Holy Spirit – RUACH ELOHIM or רוח הקודש, RUACH ELOHIM(YESHUA). In the book of Acts, we see examples of how the disciples carried out this commandment Using the Name: YESHUA

Is YESHUA JESUS?

Yes! -> In Acts 2:38-41, Apostle Peter baptizes people in the name of YESHUA, which is the Hebrew name for JESUS. These were the first baptisms after CHRIST gave the commandment in Matthew 28:19. Later, in Acts 8:12-17, we find Evangelist Philip baptizing people in the name of YESHUA.

It is important to understand that the different concept used for baptism do not necessarily indicate theological disagreement or conflict. Rather, they may reflect the cultural and linguistic context in which the baptism is taking place, or the baptizer’s level of spiritual understanding.

However, it is significant that the apostles understood that Jesus is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. While it may be easier to say “we baptize you in the name of Yeshua” or “we baptize you in the name of the Father (YAHOWA), Son (YESHUA), and Holy Spirit (RUACH ELOHIM),” if the names are mentioned literally – both approaches are essentially calling upon the same divine authority = YESHUA.

When baptizing, it is important to follow the instruction given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19 to baptize in the name of the Father(YESHUA), Son(YESHUA), and Holy Spirit(YESHUA). This acknowledges the triune nature of YAHOWA and fulfills CHRIST’ commandment.

Years later, in the book of Acts 19:1-7, we find the Apostle Paul re-baptizing many people who had been baptized by John the Baptist in the name of YESHUA. This highlights the importance of being baptized in the name of YESHUA and demonstrates that baptism is an essential step in the life of any CHRIST’s followers.

If someone has been baptized in a different way, there is always room for growth and the opportunity to make amends. Baptizing in the name of ”YESHUA” is the right way to carry out the sacrament of baptism, and it is important to follow CHRIST’ teachings and guidance in all aspects of our spiritual lives.
